Full job descriptionAdaptable Recruitment are working with a well known charity based in Chorley who is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities
*Own the coordination of weekly and monthly payroll submissions across multiple locations
*Act as the primary liaison between the organisation and our outsourced payroll provider
*Ensure payroll data is accurate, complete and submitted within agreed deadlines
*Review payroll information and resolve discrepancies or queries promptly
*Process payroll adjustments, advances and off-cycle payments
*Manage employee payroll queries with clear, timely responses
*Complete year-end activities and support statutory submissions to HMRC and pension providers
*Produce payroll reports and management information as required
*Build strong, collaborative relationships with managers, colleagues in HR Operations, and payroll provider
*Identify and lead improvements to payroll processes, systems and service

About You
*Significant payroll experience - you know the job and want to put that experience to work
*CIPP qualified, or working towards Level 5, or open to studying towards it with our support
*Confident processing accurate data and managing validations independently
*Strong relationship-building skills, comfortable managing an outsourced provider relationship and working closely with internal colleagues
*Sound working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
*Strong Excel and payroll systems skills
*Naturally focused on improving processes, efficiency and service, not just maintaining them
