Our team is creating a vital 1.6-mile link road between the M54 and M6, complete with upgraded junctions and three new bridges. This direct motorway connection will reduce congestion and strengthen regional connectivity.
You will be working in the HSWQ&P operating unit where in Health, Safety, Wellbeing & Quality we put people first. From safety on site to wellbeing at work, we create environments where everyone can thrive - delivering quality outcomes that build trust and lasting impact.
We are currently looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to oversee and manage the overall project health, safety, and wellbeing performance who will oversee and manage the overall project health, safety, and wellbeing performance.
As the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you will:
*Ensure that Company and project requirements / KPI’S are being maintained and standards met across the scheme.
*Support the project/OU in the production, review and implementation of specific plans for managing health, safety and wellbeing.
*Manage and support the Project HSW team and provide direction on focus areas.
*Ensure the project is meeting legal HSW compliance as well as expectations from outside bodies i.e., HSE.
*Provide operational and functional management with advice on the prevention of accidents, ill health, and the practical implementation of the company’s SHW policies.
*Lead on compiling and completion of Client led HSW metrics and quarterly reporting.
*Participation and undertaking of HSW visits with the Project SLT as well as both Client and Skanska lead tours.
*Assist in the preparation and implementation of SHW training courses and ensure that staff with specific SHW responsibilities have received the appropriate training.
We are looking for:
*Experience in managing/advising on health, safety and wellbeing in construction.
*Level 5 academically recognised qualification or above (i.e. Diploma/Degree/ NVQ) relating to health, safety and wellbeing.
*Experience in the development and implementation of health, safety and wellbeing strategies, report writing and leading and supporting incident investigation.
*CMIOSH Membership or working towards this.
*NEBOSH diploma or NVQ level 5 or above in Occupational Health & Safety if not obtained working towards.
