Full job descriptionA reputable refurbishment Main Contractor based in London, is seeking a confident and dedicated Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support their finance team. This pivotal role involves managing purchase and sales ledgers, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with CIS, VAT, and CITB processes. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records within Sage Accounts and Sage Construct systems, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, excellent organisational skills, and experience within the construction sector, particularly with project-based accounting and CIS. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential, alongside practical experience in book-keeping or similar roles.
*Previous practical experience in an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper role
*AAT Level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience (desirable)
*Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and ownership of processes
*Experience with Sage Accounts and construction sector familiarity
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
*Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and suppliers

This role offers a flexible, part-time schedule (three days per week) with a competitive remuneration package dependent on experience. You will benefit from working within a friendly team, gaining valuable experience in construction finance, and contributing to the company’s continued success.
Initially, it will be a 6-month contract with a view to the role becoming permanent.
22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, 5% employer pension contribution and on-site parking.
