Job Description:
Full job descriptionNoble Recruiting are looking for an experienced Export Operator with Multi Modal experience across Air, Road and Sea to join an established and renowned Freight & Logistics global provider based in Basildon, Essex.
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Working hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
Free parking available for you
Responsibilities/Duties:
*Manage all daily Export bookings, manage clients and key accounts.
*Liaise with Sales and other related departments to monitor new & existing business across Export and Cross Trade.
*Oversee and coordinate multi-modal export shipments, ensuring timely delivery across all transportation modes including sea, air and road.
*Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and other relevant export standards to ensure all shipments meet legal requirements.
*Liaise with 3PL providers, carriers, customs authorities, and internal departments to facilitate smooth export operations.
*Negotiate rates and terms with logistics providers to optimise cost-efficiency while maintaining high service standards.
*Maintain detailed records of export transactions, shipment statuses, and compliance documentation for audit purposes.
*Booking and handling of general EXPORT bookings and enquiries.
*Managing collections/overseas deliveries and customs documents.
*Invoicing for Export & Cross Trade department in a timely manner.
*Negotiating with suppliers for competitive prices.
Experience/Skills we are looking for:
*Proven experience in EXPORT Multi Modal & Cross Trade operations within a freight forwarding environment.
*Strong understanding of operational workflows, including trailer arrivals, inbound planning, documentation flow, and stakeholder coordination.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, hauliers, overseas partners, and internal teams.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
*Experience liaising with overseas agents and coordinating international shipments
*Own transport desirable due to the location of the Company.
