Location: Hertfordshire
Hybrid working: 3 days per week onsite
Salary: £42,082 per annum
Working hours: Mon-Thurs 9-5.30pm and Fri 9-5pm
Contract: Full-time, Permanent


We’re looking for a talented Management Accountant to join a leading research organisation and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and meaningful financial insight. This is a great opportunity to join a finance team undergoing positive change and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
*Prepare management accounts and supporting schedules.
*Support month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments.
*Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
*Review financial transactions to ensure accurate analysis and coding.
*Assist with the preparation of annual budgets.
*Support internal and external audit processes.
*Maintain accurate financial reporting schedules and timetables.
*Build effective working relationships across the organisation.
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.


What you’ll bring
*A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
*Experience within a charity, not-for-profit, research, grant-funded or commercial environment
*Experience of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
*Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
*The ability to build effective relationships and manage competing priorities
*Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and financial controls
