Working Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Full-time, term time only

We are currently recruiting for an Academic Mentor in Maths to join a secondary school in Newham.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong Maths background who is passionate about supporting students and helping them achieve their academic potential.
The RoleAs a Maths Academic Mentor, you will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping students improve their mathematical knowledge, confidence and exam skills.
Key Responsibilities*Provide 1:1 and small-group Maths support
*Support students with GCSE Maths
*Identify learning gaps and provide targeted intervention
*Support students with exam preparation and revision
*Monitor and record student progress
*Work closely with Maths teachers and pastoral staff
*Deliver Year 11 after-school intervention sessions
*Support the school’s Homework Club
*Assist with Maths trips and competitions
*Support morning Maths tutor groups
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
*A strong academic background in Maths
*Experience supporting or tutoring secondary school students
*Good knowledge of GCSE Maths
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*The ability to build positive relationships with students
*A passion for helping young people make progress
