Our client are market leaders in their industry sector. They are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis.
The Job you’ll do
*Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities across all plant machinery and systems to minimise downtime.
*Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure high standards of work.
*Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules in line with manufacturer specifications and operational demands.
*Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
*Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, repairs, or installations, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
*Oversee the utilisation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems optimisation.
*Analyse equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions accordingly.
*Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history for compliance and reporting purposes.
*Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during all maintenance operations.
*Requirements
*Proven management experience with a strong background in supervising maintenance teams within industrial or manufacturing environments.
*Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.


About You
*Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, schematics, and automation controls including PLCs.
*Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills to oversee maintenance programmes effectively.
*Previous experience in managing maintenance operations with a focus on reliability-centred practices.
*Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience is essential for diagnosing and resolving diverse technical issues.
*Fluency in English is required for clear communication across teams and documentation purposes.
*Relevant qualifications in engineering or technical fields are preferred; certifications in management or project management are advantageous.
