Full job descriptionProspero Teaching are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join mainstream primary schools across Cirencester. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to support their learning, confidence and development within a positive classroom environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to provide general classroom, one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils stay engaged and make progress across the curriculum. You’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and inclusive classroom where children feel supported and encouraged to achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities:*Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
*Providing one-to-one and small-group support
*Helping pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
*Keeping pupils engaged, focused and motivated
*Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
*Encouraging children’s confidence and independence
*Preparing learning resources and classroom materials
*Working closely with teachers and other school staff
*Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
Ideal candidate:*Previous experience working with children is desirable
*School or classroom experience is beneficial but not essential
*Patient, caring and enthusiastic
*Confident communicating with children and staff
*Reliable, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team
*Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
*Relevant qualifications are desirable but not always essential
