An exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join an established and growing organisation in a broad Assistant Financial Controller role.
Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, delivering accurate reporting and supporting the wider business with meaningful financial insight.
*Review monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
*Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
*Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
*Maintain and strengthen financial controls and processes.
*Assist with statutory accounts, VAT and corporation tax requirements.
*Act as a key contact for external audit.
*Monitor working capital and support effective cash management.
*Provide financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholders.
*Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and systems.
*Support, mentor and review the work of junior members of the finance team.
*Contribute to finance transformation, automation and reporting projects.
You will ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong financial and management accounting experience. Have excellent Excel skills, good knowledge of financial controls, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and be confident analysing financial information and communicating your findings.
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, analytical and proactive, with a genuine interest in improving processes and adding value beyond the numbers. Experience within a group or multi-site environment, statutory accounts, treasury or ERP systems would be advantageous.
