Full job descriptionProspero Teaching are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join primary schools across Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about supporting their learning, development and confidence within a mainstream classroom.
The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to provide classroom, one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils stay engaged and make progress. You may support children across different year groups and abilities, so a flexible and positive approach is important.
Key responsibilities:*Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
*Providing one-to-one and small-group learning support
*Helping pupils stay focused, engaged and motivated
*Supporting literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
*Encouraging positive behaviour and good classroom routines
*Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
*Preparing classroom resources and learning activities
*Working effectively with teachers and other support staff
*Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
Ideal candidate:*Previous experience working with children is desirable
*School or classroom experience is beneficial but not essential
*A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach
*Confident communicating with children and staff
*Reliable, adaptable and able to work as part of a team
*Passionate about supporting children’s education and development
*Relevant qualifications are desirable but not always essential
