About the Role
We’re working with a really exciting hospitality and events company for an Operations Manager role. This will be hands-on supporting an established management team, overseeing operational departments, managing customer escalations and help to deliver future growth projects across the business.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership while providing support, coaching and accountability to departmental managers. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader who enjoys bringing people together, driving standards and creating positive change.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support operational departments, ensuring high standards of service, safety and guest experience.
• Manage escalated customer complaints both face-to-face and in writing.
• Coach and support departmental managers through operational and people-related challenges.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and drive accountability across teams.
• Support budget management, planning and forecasting.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives and business projects.
• Maintain oversight of Health & Safety compliance.
• Act as a key communication link between departments and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to balance empathy and accountability.
• Experience managing challenging customer situations and difficult conversations.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets or operational resources.
• Ability to thrive within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Hospitality, leisure, tourism or visitor attraction experience would be advantageous.
Location & Working Hours
• North Somerset
• Fully on-site role.
• 40-hour working week.
• Rotating shifts between 8am-5pm and 9am-6pm.
• Regular weekend working with either Saturday or Sunday included.
