Are you looking for a permanent opportunity where you can develop your skills and progress into a more varied role?
We are currently recruiting for a Stores & Assembly Operative to join a small team of three based in Basingstoke. This is a varied position offering the opportunity to build your experience across stores, order fulfilment, assembly and trade counter operations, with full training provided as you develop.
The Role
Initially, you will support the team with day-to-day stores and assembly duties, including:
*Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
*Assisting with general stores duties and keeping stock areas organised.
*Carrying out basic assembly work.
*Supporting the wider team with day-to-day tasks.
As you gain experience and confidence, you will be trained across additional areas of the business, including:
*Working on the trade counter and assisting customers.
*Learning to use mechanical machinery to carry out more complex assembly work.
*Developing your knowledge and skills across different areas of the operation.
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on and keen to learn. Previous experience in stores, warehouse, assembly or a trade environment would be beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right person.
The ideal candidate will:
*Be practical and hands-on with a willingness to learn.
*Have good attention to detail.
*Be comfortable working as part of a small team.
*Be reliable and organised.
*Have a positive attitude and be keen to develop new skills.
*Be confident communicating with customers once trained on the trade counter.
