Full job descriptionSenior Credit Controller - Delegated AuthorityAbout the RoleSenior opportunity to be a key person responsible for credit control operations for a large Delegated Authority portfolio within a high-performing credit control team. Take operational autonomy leveraging extensive Lloyd’s market experience in premium settlement, broker relationships, and delegated authority procedures. This role combines analytics-driven portfolio monitoring with hands-on relationship management across Lloyd’s brokers and in-house underwriting teams.
Key Responsibilities*Own credit control management of designated delegated authority accounts
*Use dashboard analytics and Power BI to monitor premium variances and portfolio status in real-time
*Ensure timely processing of signings and receipt of paid premium bordereaux
*Reconcile written and paid premiums, identifying and managing outstanding balances
*Maintain regular dialogue with Lloyd’s brokers and coverholders to ensure timely settlement of balances due
*Schedule and conduct meetings with underperforming brokers to address settlement issues and implement remedial actions
*Collaborate with underwriting teams on problem account resolution and remedial action plans
Requirements*Extensive Lloyd’s/London market experience with strong understanding of delegated authority premium settlement cycles
*Deep familiarity with binding authority formats and key terms/conditions from credit control perspective
*Proven experience managing broker relationships and credit control portfolios in delegated authority sector
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel (IF statements, Lookups, Pivot Tables)
*Advanced proficiency in dashboard analytics (Power BI) for portfolio monitoring
*Strong negotiation and communication skills with brokers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders
*Ability to work with operational autonomy and manage complex, multi-faceted accounts
