Job Description:
Full job descriptionTradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to work within a specialist SEN school in Kidderminster. You will be supporting secondary aged students with Autism, Severe Learning Disabilities, complex needs and a range of additional needs, helping them prepare for adulthood in a structured, nurturing, and supportive environment.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference, delivering engaging and personalised learning that supports both academic progress and life skills development.
Key Responsibilities:*Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEN
*Adapt the curriculum to meet a range of learning needs, including Autism and moderate to severe learning difficulties
*Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
*Support students’ communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development
*Prepare pupils for adulthood, including functional skills, independence, and employability skills
*Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes engagement and well-being
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider school staff to support holistic development
Requirements:*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Access to a vehicle
*Experience working with students that have SEN, particularly Autism and Learning Disabilities
*Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient, and adaptable approach
*Understanding of EHCPs and SEN best practices within a specialist setting
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
*Legal right to work in the UK
