Job Description:
Full job descriptionPortfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Buckinghamshire based client to recruit for a Buyer.
This is a great opportunity for someone to grow and learn in a fast-moving business that is open to supporting the successful candidate in the journey to complete CIPS.
Key responsibilities:
*Manage, raise and process all purchase orders
*Source and negotiate key items with suppliers
*Ensure orders are progressing in a timely and effective manner
*Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand current and upcoming purchasing requirements
*Support with company indirect purchases
*Research and source alternative means of supply for urgent requirements.
Skills and Experience:
*Previous experience in a Purchasing or Buying role
*Ideally part qualified in CIPS or with a willingness to complete with company support
*Experience with an ERP/MRP system
*Some knowledge of import/export procedures
*Good IT skills including Excel
*Strong attention to detail
*Good communication skills
