The Opportunity

We’re working with an established independent insurance brokerage that is looking to add an experienced Commercial Broker to its growing team in Northampton.
You’ll be joining a business that prides itself on providing a personal, high-quality service to its clients, with the freedom and flexibility that comes with working for an independent broker.
The role would suit someone who enjoys the relationship side of commercial insurance, is confident dealing with clients and insurers, and wants to play an important role within a close-knit team.
What you’ll be doing:*Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of commercial clients
*Handling new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments
*Obtaining and negotiating quotations with insurers
*Advising clients on their commercial insurance requirements
*Working across a range of commercial insurance products
*Building strong relationships with both clients and insurers
*Preparing renewal documentation and market presentations
*Ensuring clients receive a consistently high level of service
*Working collaboratively with the wider brokerage team
What they’re looking for:We’re looking for someone with previous Commercial Broking experience who is confident dealing with clients and insurers.
You’ll ideally be:
*Experienced within a Commercial Insurance environment
*Confident handling commercial insurance risks
*Comfortable negotiating with insurers
*A strong communicator and relationship builder
*Organised with excellent attention to detail
*Commercially minded and proactive
*Someone who enjoys working as part of a smaller, collaborative team
