Overview
A global retail business is looking for a Full Stack Python Developer to join their technology team on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role building and maintaining customer-facing and internal platforms, working across the full stack with a Python-based backend. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week required on-site at the client’s London office.
Responsibilities
*Design, build and maintain full stack web applications with a Python backend
*Develop and consume RESTful APIs
*Work across both backend services and frontend interfaces
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA and other engineers
*Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
*Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making within the team
*Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack in a production environment
Skills & Experience
*Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer with Python (Django or Flask)
*Solid frontend experience (React, Vue or similar JS framework)
*Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and API design
*Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines
*Comfortable working in an agile environment
*Experience in retail, e-commerce or high-traffic consumer platforms is advantageous
*Must be able to work on-site in London 2 days per week
