Full job descriptionFull time Teaching Assistant Required - Halifax Primary SchoolAre you a caring, enthusiastic and nurturing Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a child’s education?
Halifax Primary School is seeking a positive, dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support to a new pupil joining our school.
The successful applicant will work closely with a Year 3 pupil who is currently accessing learning at the beginning of the Year 1 curriculum. You will play a key role in supporting her personalised learning programme, building her confidence and independence, and helping her to make accelerated progress.
The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Provide consistent, high-quality one-to-one support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs.
*Support her access to a personalised curriculum and classroom learning.
*Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to implement appropriate learning strategies.
*Encourage and celebrate progress, building confidence, resilience and independence.
*Provide a positive, calm and nurturing influence throughout the school day.
*Help the pupil to develop both academically and socially.
*Monitor progress and contribute to identifying next steps in learning.
*Create a safe, encouraging and inclusive learning environment.
