Description
*Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts for a portfolio of group companies.
*Perform monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances where required.
*Prepare and submit VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations.
*Support the ongoing development and enhancement of financial controls and governance procedures.
*Assist with acquisitions by contributing to due diligence activities and post-acquisition integration.
*Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities to key stakeholders.
*Play a key role in the year-end audit process, coordinating information and liaising with external auditors.
*Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle through analysis, reporting, and financial insight.
*Deliver ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support senior management decision-making.
*Contribute to business improvement initiatives, finance projects, and other duties as required.
Profile
A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:
*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified.
*Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
*Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
*Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
*Excellent communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders
