Are you passionate about helping children with autism succeed in education? A welcoming and supportive primary school in Basingstoke is looking for a dedicated ASD TA to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ASD TA to gain valuable SEN experience while helping pupils develop their communication, confidence, independence and engagement with learning.
The RoleAs an ASD TA, you will:
*Provide personalised 1:1 and small-group support.
*Help pupils access lessons, activities and the wider school environment.
*Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
*Encourage independence and develop social and interaction skills.
*Adapt your support to meet individual needs and learning styles.
*Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and other support professionals.
*Contribute to a calm, structured and inclusive classroom.
About YouThe ideal ASD TA will have:
*A patient, caring and understanding nature.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*A genuine interest in autism and special educational needs.
*The ability to remain calm, consistent and adaptable.
*A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
*Previous experience working with children with ASD or SEN is desirable but not essential.
