We’re working with a well-established and welcoming accountancy practice in Benfleet that is looking to add a talented Accountant to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys working across a varied client portfolio and wants a role offering genuine responsibility, variety, and long-term stability.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a key member of the team, you’ll manage a broad range of accounting responsibilities while supporting clients across multiple sectors.
Your duties will include:
*Preparing year-end accounts, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss accounts
*Producing tax computations
*Preparing and submitting P11Ds
*Processing payroll and associated reporting
*Managing CIS returns
*Working across leading accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
*Providing proactive support and advice to clients
*Building strong client relationships and responding to queries efficiently
*Supporting the wider team with accounting and compliance matters
What We’re Looking ForWe’re keen to speak with experienced accounting professionals who have a strong background working within an accountancy practice environment.
You’ll ideally have:
*Previous experience within an accountancy practice
*Strong experience preparing year-end accounts
*Knowledge of payroll and CIS
*Experience using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Strong communication and client-facing abilities
QualificationsWe’re open to candidates who are:
*Fully Qualified (ACA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent), or
*Qualified by Experience (QBE)
A driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial due to the office-based nature of the role.
