About the role
Unicare Complex Care Specialist Ltd is recruiting a Registered Manager to lead its Sussex Community Service.
The service provides domiciliary and outreach support to adults with mental health needs, autism and learning disabilities, helping them live well in their own homes.
You will be named on the CQC registration and hold operational, regulatory and clinical governance accountability for the service, reporting to the Responsible Individual.
This role involves leading dispersed community packages, with varied hours and individual support arrangements across Sussex.
Key responsibilities
• Hold CQC registration and maintain compliance with applicable standards.
• Lead support workers, mental health support workers and Team Leaders across the community.
• Manage referrals, assessments and package mobilisation.
• Oversee safeguarding, incidents, medication and quality assurance.
• Develop PBS-informed support with the in-house CPN/PBS Specialist.
• Work with families, advocates, social workers, community mental health teams and learning disability teams.
• Build commissioner relationships and manage capacity planning and fee review submissions.
• Prepare for and lead CQC inspections.
Essential requirements
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, or equivalent, held or actively being worked towards.
• At least two years’ management experience in adult social care.
• Experience supporting adults with mental health needs, autism and/or learning disabilities in community, supported living or domiciliary settings.
• Working knowledge of CQC standards, the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and relevant learning disability/autism guidance.
• Understanding of PBS and trauma-informed practice.
• Confidence managing safeguarding, incidents and complaints.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Eligibility to work in the UK. Sponsorship is unavailable for this role.
Desirable
• Current or previous CQC Registered Manager status.
• Oliver McGowan Tier 2 training.
• Experience working with Sussex commissioners.
• PBS Coach or Practitioner qualification.
• Experience setting up new community packages.
