Lloyd Barnes is currently partnering exclusively with an established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Finance Manager, on a full-time, permanent basis. This senior role sits at the heart of the finance function, working closely with the Finance Director, finance colleagues and operational stakeholders to support commercial decision-making and drive continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.
Responsibilities.
*Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and board-level reporting packs.
*Provide leadership and development to the management accounting team, including oversight of day-to-day transactional processing activities.
*Partner with commercial stakeholders to deliver profitability insights, evaluate new product costs, and support pricing and strategic decision-making.
*Conduct regular balance sheet reviews to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial positions.
*Coordinate year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements, including timely resolution of audit queries and support for corporation tax computations.
*Own the annual overhead absorption model and deliver monthly overhead performance analysis by cost centre.
*Responsibility for the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting cycle, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business targets.
*Perform month-end foreign exchange revaluations and ensure accurate treatment of currency movements.
*Oversee inventory data quality to support reliable stock valuation and reporting.
Skills & Experience
*ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
*Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
*Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
*Excellent communication skills
*Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
*Confident stakeholder management and commercial mindset
