We’re looking for a professional, organised and client-focused Event Planner to join our talented Events team. From the moment an event is confirmed through to its successful delivery, you will be the key point of contact for clients, ensuring every detail is planned to perfection and every experience exceeds expectations.

Whether it’s a high-profile corporate conference, gala dinner, awards ceremony or exclusive private event, you’ll work closely with clients and hotel departments to bring their vision to life whilst delivering the five-star service for which The Parkgate Hotel is renowned.
Our ideal hero will have

Experience in a sales, events, hospitality or guest-facing role

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both written and verbal

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously

Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate records

A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and creating memorable events

Knowledge of the hospitality, meetings and events industry would be advantageous

Experience within event sales, conference venues or hotels is desirable
Implementing our ’Yes, We Can’ philosophy, you will

Manage your own portfolio of events from handover through to completion

Build strong relationships with clients, providing advice and guidance throughout the planning process

Produce accurate and detailed event orders that clearly communicate client requirements across the hotel

Coordinate site visits, menu tastings, show rounds and pre-event meetings

Ensure all event documentation, contracts, deposits and health & safety requirements are completed accurately

Liaise with operational teams to ensure seamless event delivery

Meet and greet clients during their events, acting as their main point of contact

Maximise revenue opportunities through upselling hotel facilities and services

Conduct post-event follow-up, gather feedback and identify future business opportunities

Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to deliver outstanding guest experiences
