An established and growing accountancy practice in St Albans is looking to strengthen its Private Client Tax team with the appointment of an experienced Tax Senior.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a solid grounding in personal tax and wants to develop their experience across a varied private client portfolio, with good exposure to more complex work and progression opportunities.
The roleYou’ll work closely with experienced Managers and Partners, looking after a portfolio of private clients and taking responsibility for a broad range of personal tax matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients

*Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns

*Advising HNW individuals, business owners and private clients

*Dealing with partnerships and more complex personal tax affairs

*Supporting on tax planning and advisory work

*Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact

*Identifying opportunities to provide additional advice and services

*Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing work where appropriate

*Working alongside the wider tax and accounts teams



What we’re looking for*Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice

*Strong personal/private client tax experience

*Experience managing your own portfolio

*Comfortable dealing directly with clients

*ATT qualified or working towards qualification would be advantageous

*CTA qualification or progression towards CTA would be beneficial

*Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail

*Someone who wants to continue developing their advisory experience
