Our client




Morgan Hunt is working with a leading charity that provides support services for vulnerable women and young families facing challenges such as homelessness and those who have experienced domestic abuse. They offer supported accommodation and community services, with a focus on tailored support to help individuals improve their quality of life, achieve independence and access opportunities such as education, employment and training.




The role




As a Housing Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting a caseload of vulnerable women both within supported accommodation and the community to overcome the experiences they have had and empower them to build up the skills and resources they need to take control of their own lives, access a tenancy, and maintain a quality of life in the long term.




*Conduct needs assessments and develop tailored support plans in collaboration with clients.
*Complete and regularly review risk assessments, including safety planning.
*Maintain accurate and efficient client records, including support plans, risk management plans, and outcomes achieved.
*Provide transitional resettlement support to clients moving into independent accommodation.
*Work collaboratively with relevant agencies to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
*Empower clients to make informed choices, remain safe, and develop independence.
*Assist clients in accessing employment, education, and training opportunities.
*Encourage clients to take ownership of improving their quality of life and developing independent living skills.
*Deliver high - quality group programs to support client development.



The candidate




*Extensive understanding of homelessness and / or issues affecting women, including available support options.
*Experience working as part of a team, as well as independently, with strong time management skills.
*Proven ability to devise client support plans, identify risks, and create effective risk management strategies to achieve outcomes.
*Up - to - date knowledge of homelessness, housing, welfare benefits, and relevant legislation.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally.
*Experience assessing and responding to safeguarding concerns.
*Ability to liaise effectively with local agencies on behalf of clients and the organisation.
*Proficiency in computer literacy and the ability to use relevant software.



As this role is predominantly community based, the successful candidate will be required to have access to a car with business insurance for the role.
