Full job descriptionWe Care Bespoke Ltd provide bespoke support for vulnerable children, young people, and adults throughout the Northeast of England. OFSTED judged our services as ’Good’. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this dedication. We currently have 3 solo children’s residential homes registered with Ofsted.
The role would be to support the start of the Short Breaks residential home and as Deputy, support the Manager to support and develop the team to create positive experiences and time with the children and young people accessing the service.
This is a full-time (40 hours), permanent role, located in Stanley. We are looking for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of children and young people; to promote them to develop socially, emotionally, promote independence while offering enjoyment and achieving through all daily aspects. Create a setting where they feel safe and cared for. To act as a positive role model and work closely with the young people to enable them to overcome any barriers and achieve their maximum potential.
As a Deputy Manager, you will be required to shift lead; delegate, decision making, ensuring all tasks are undertaken, be a mentor for the staff and report to the Registered Manager.
Role Description
*Support and work alongside the Registered Manager of the Home.
*Efficiently oversee the development of staff; assigning training, ensuring training is reviewed and audited and supporting staff to achieve and develop.
*Oversight and auditing of finances.
*Supervising staff through monitoring and 1:1 supervisions.
*Update placement plans and Risk assessments.
*Maintain and encourage a high level of communication within and with external agencies.
*Attend any placement meetings with external agencies.
*Review and auditing of paperwork/documentation/records within the home.
*Review and audit the health & safety of the home.
*Supporting within an OFSTED regulated home.

What we would like from you...
*Experience working in children’s homes or with young people with complex needs.
*Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
*Leadership and management skills.
*Level 3/4 Qualification in Health and Social Care (Children or Residential).
*Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent (or be willing to work towards).
