Job Description:
Full job descriptionOur client, a leading organisation within the commercial services sector, are seeking a highly organised and proactive Assistant HSEQ Manager to support its governance, health & safety, HR administration, environmental management, and wider business support functions. This is a varied and impactful role suited to someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys improving processes, and is confident working across multiple operational areas.


You will play a key part in ensuring the business operates in line with legal, regulatory and industry standards, while supporting continuous improvement across all departments.


Reporting to the Compliance Manager, key responsibilities to include:


*Maintain and develop internal compliance policies, procedures and controls
*Support internal and external audits, compliance monitoring and reporting
*Assist with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental management systems
*Coordinate investigations into non-conformances and support corrective actions
*Provide HR administrative support including onboarding, documentation, training records and employee welfare programmes
*Assist with health & safety processes including DSE assessments, first aid compliance, fire safety checks and accident investigations
*Support facilities management including statutory inspections, cleaning contracts, security systems and grounds maintenance
*Administer fleet compliance, insurance records and vehicle tracking reviews
*Coordinate statutory, mandatory and development training programmes
*Provide general business support across multiple operational functions


As a successful candidate you will have previous experience in compliance, HR, health & safety or quality management and a background in the automotive and/or FMCG could be advantageous, knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and internal auditing could also be beneficial. You will also possess strong organisational and administrative skills, excellent written/verbal communication and be confident using Microsoft Office and business systems.
