Job Description:
Full job descriptionKey responsibilities:
*Supervise the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team
*Allocate tasks, set priorities and ensure resources are used effectively
*Monitor productivity, accuracy and adherence to processes
*Provide visible, hands-on leadership on the warehouse floor
*Coach and support warehouse operatives, ensuring correct ways of working
*Manage attendance, timekeeping and related information
*Conduct return-to-work meetings and support absence management
*Complete routine health & safety, housekeeping and compliance checks
*Identify hazards and ensure appropriate action is taken
*Support incident reporting and follow-up
*Use WMS and other systems to generate figures and monitor KPIs
*Support and train team members in systems and processes, including booking-in, put-away, voice picking etc
*Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and warehouse layout
*Communicate daily priorities, changes and updates clearly
*Support the implementation of new processes and improvements
The successful candidate will;
*Have previous warehouse supervisory or team leadership experience
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
*Good knowledge of warehouse operations and processes
*Strong communication and people-management skills
*Experience monitoring KPIs and operational performance
*Good IT skills and confidence using warehouse management systems
*A strong understanding of health & safety within a warehouse environment
*The ability to coach, motivate and support a team
*A proactive approach to resolving operational issues
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
*A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
