Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are looking for caring, reliable and motivated Residential Support Workers across the Teessidearea to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centered care to children and young people within residential settings.
About the Role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day support to children and young people, helping them to develop their independence, confidence and life skills.
Your responsibilities may include:
*Providing nurturing and person-centered support.
*Supporting children with daily routines and personal care where required.
*Supporting activities, hobbies and community outings.
*Helping children develop independence and life skills.
*Supporting school runs, appointments and meetings where required.
*Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.
*Following individual care and support plans.
*Promoting choice, dignity, wellbeing and independence.
*Maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
*Following safeguarding procedures and company policies.
*Completing relevant records and documentation.
*Working positively as part of a wider care team.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
*Caring, compassionate and patient.
*Reliable and committed to providing high-quality support.
*Confident working with children and young people.
*Able to work as part of a team.
*Flexible and willing to support some weekends.
*Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
*Willing to work across different locations when required.
Qualifications & Experience
*NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, or a related subject is preferred.
*Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
*A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
*Relevant training will be provided where required.
