Job Description:
Full job descriptionThe successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including challenging behaviour, SEMH and complex SEND requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive difference to young people who may require additional support to engage with education.
The Role:
*Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
*Providing emotional, behavioural and academic support
*Managing challenging behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
*Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
*Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team
*Supporting pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence
The Ideal Candidate:
*Previous experience working within a school, PRU or alternative provision setting
*Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH
*Confident managing challenging behaviour
*Calm, patient and resilient approach
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
