Full job descriptionThe successful candidate will be confident supporting pupils with complex autism, challenging behaviour and a range of communication and sensory needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, resilient and proactive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Role:
*Providing 1:1 and small-group support
*Supporting pupils with complex autism and additional needs
*Managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies
*Supporting communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs
*Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
*Working closely with teachers and specialist staff
*Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement
The Ideal Candidate:
*Previous experience supporting children or young people with complex autism
*SEND experience within a school or specialist setting
*Confident supporting challenging behaviour
*Calm, patient and resilient
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs
