Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Dudley that support students with severe learning difficulites (SLD), complex needs and challenging behaviour.
About the RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Support students with SEND, both in and out of the classroom
*Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
*Work 1:1 or with small groups to help pupils re-engage with learning
*Build trusting, professional relationships that promote positive behaviour
*Assist teachers in creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
*Contribute to behaviour plans and pastoral support programmes
*Access to a Vehicle.
What We’re Looking For*Experience working with young people with SEND (school, youth work, mentoring or similar)
*Strong communication, resilience and emotional intelligence
*Ability to remain calm under pressure and use positive behaviour strategies
*A genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
*Team-working skills and a proactive approach
*a minimum of 6 months of experience in a school or child related setting
