Description
*Act as the primary finance partner to designated business units, functions or senior leadership teams.
*Build strong, credible relationships with senior stakeholders and become a trusted adviser on financial and commercial matters.
*Provide clear financial insight and challenge to support strategic and operational decision-making.
*Translate complex financial information into concise, commercially relevant recommendations.
*Support business leaders in evaluating strategic initiatives, investment decisions, transformation programmes and growth opportunities.
*Challenge assumptions, identify risks and ensure financial implications are fully understood before decisions are made.
*Lead or contribute to the annual budgeting and strategic planning process for relevant areas of the business.
*Own the financial forecasting process, ensuring forecasts are robust, evidence-based and aligned with operational plans.
*Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and prior year, identifying key drivers and corrective actions.
*Develop meaningful KPIs and performance measures that support management decision-making.
*Provide regular financial performance reporting and commentary to senior management.
*Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities and ensure these are communicated effectively.
Profile
A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
*Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Proficiency with financial modelling and reporting tools.
*The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
*A proactive approach to identifying and driving financial improvements.
