We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist education setting in Coalville for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join their team ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
The RoleAs an SEMH Teacher, you will:
*Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
*Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress.
*Create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and the wider multidisciplinary team.
*Promote positive behaviour through restorative and trauma-informed approaches.
*Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*Has experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, SEND, or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential).
*Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
*Is patient, empathetic and committed to helping every learner achieve their potential.
*Has a flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
