Location: Kirklees
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid or Remote
Type: Permanent
Umar Tawil at CRA Consulting is currently working with a Local Authority in Kirklees who are looking to appoint experienced Safeguarding Lawyers across both Children’s and Adults’ Legal Services.
If you are an experienced safeguarding lawyer looking for a permanent opportunity offering flexibility and a varied caseload, I’d be keen to speak with you.
The Role
You will provide high-quality legal advice and representation across a range of safeguarding matters, working closely with social workers, managers and other professionals.
Responsibilities may include:
*Advising on complex children’s or adults’ safeguarding matters.
*Providing clear and practical legal advice to social care teams.
*Supporting care proceedings and safeguarding-related legal processes.
*Preparing legal documentation and advising on appropriate courses of action.
*Representing the Local Authority at court and hearings where required.
*Managing a varied caseload and meeting deadlines.
*Working closely with social workers and senior managers on complex and sensitive cases.
*Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and case law.
About You
I’m keen to hear from qualified lawyers with relevant Children’s or Adults’ Social Care/Safeguarding experience.
Ideally, you will have:
*Qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer.
*Relevant safeguarding or social care legal experience.
*Strong knowledge of the relevant legal framework.
*Experience providing legal advice to professional clients.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*The ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
What’s on Offer?*£50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
*37 hours per week.
*Remote and hybrid working available.
