Full job descriptionCNC turners required for expansion at this exceptional sub contract precision engineering company - The company produces complex, high-precision components for industries including Formula One, aerospace and military applications, machining a wide range of metals to extremely tight tolerances. If you’re a machinist who wants to work with the best new equipment and resources on often complex parts then is the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
*Set and operate CNC lathes running Fanuc controls.
*Load programmes, set tooling and adjust offsets to achieve correct dimensions.
*Produce high-precision turned components in a range of metals.
*Work to tight tolerances and complex geometries from detailed drawings.
*Perform first-off and in-process inspections, maintaining quality throughout the batch.
*Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and right-first-time output.
*Work closely with production, programming and quality teams.
*Keep machines and work area clean, safe and well organised.
*Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and cycle times.
