Full job descriptionLearning Support Assistant - Specialist Provision (KS3)
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist provision in Billingshurst, West Sussex, supporting Key Stage 3 students with Social, Communication and/or Language Needs (SCLN).
Many of the young people attending the provision have transitioned from mainstream primary schools and thrive within a smaller, more nurturing secondary environment where they can receive the individual support needed to succeed both academically and personally.
We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who:
*Are patient, caring and understanding
*Can build positive and trusting relationships with students
*Are confident supporting social, communication and emotional development
*Can adapt their approach to meet individual needs
*Enjoy helping young people develop confidence and independence
Contract Details
*Location: Billingshurst, West Sussex
*Position: Learning Support Assistant
*Start Date: ASAP
*Contract Type: Temporary and ongoing opportunities
*Duration: Short-term and long-term placements available
*Full Time / Part Time: Both considered
*Hours: School hours
*Pay: Competitive hourly rate
Requirements
*GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred)
*A calm, supportive and encouraging manner
*Strong communication skills
*Excellent reliability and attendance
*Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
