This role is within a Local Authority.
Description
*Production of timely and accurate financial reports for the Pension Fund including annual accounts and annual report.
*Processing year-end adjustments e.g. accruals, valuations, etc.
*To provide monitoring information as required to assist in the management of the Fund
*Work closely with stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
*Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
*Maintain detailed and organised financial records.
*Completion of statutory and statistical data returns in accordance with their requirements.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
*Full accounting qualification (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA,CIMA).
*Proficiency in financial reporting and data analysis.
*Experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally within Local Authority pensions.
*Knowledge of public sector financial regulations(LGPS).
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.
