Full job descriptionThis role is for a Part-Qualified Group Accountant, based in Castleford. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the company’s financial operations during a 3-6 month fixed-term contract.

This role is with a company operating in the transport and distribution industry, located in Castleford.
Description
*Assist in the preparation of group financial statements and management accounts.
*Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
*Perform variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
*Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial data is maintained.
*Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
*Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
*Support ad-hoc financial projects and reporting requirements.
*Help maintain the integrity of financial systems and processes.
Profile
A successful Part-Qualified Group Accountant should have:
*Part-qualification in a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
*Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
*Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
*Good knowledge of accounting systems and Excel.
*Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
*Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Job Offer
*Salary of £40,000 - £50,000 dependent on the level of experience.
*3-6 month fixed-term contract.
