Harrow | Day-to-Day | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm
Are you an enthusiastic and confident individual looking to gain valuable experience working in a secondary school?
We’re looking for reliable and motivated Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Harrow on a day-to-day basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates and individuals with experience in education, youth work, tutoring, coaching or classroom support who are looking to develop their experience within a school environment.
What You’ll Do
*Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
*Deliver pre-set lessons and ensure students remain focused on their work
*Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
*Support students with their learning and answer questions where appropriate
*Follow school policies and procedures
*Ensure students complete the work provided by the class teacher
*Monitor attendance and maintain accurate classroom records
*Deal confidently and calmly with low-level behaviour issues
*Build positive and professional relationships with students and staff
*Provide feedback to teaching and pastoral staff where required
What We’re Looking For
*Confident, reliable and approachable
*Strong classroom management and communication skills
*Ideally educated to degree level and/or have experience working with young people
*Experience in a school, education, tutoring, youth work, coaching or similar environment is desirable
*Able to manage challenging behaviour calmly and professionally
*Organised, adaptable and able to follow lesson plans
*Comfortable working across different year groups and subjects
*Passionate about supporting young people and maintaining high standards of behaviour
*Available for day-to-day work across Harrow
