Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting in Bristol, supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream teacher with a strong interest in working within a specialist environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, while creating a positive, supportive and inclusive classroom environment. You will work closely with support staff and other professionals to help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The role would suit a teacher who is confident managing a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD and challenging behaviour, and who can adapt their approach to suit individual pupils.
Key responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
*Support pupils with a range of SEN and complex learning needs.
*Promote positive behaviour and develop strong relationships with pupils.
*Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals.
*Monitor pupil progress and contribute to individual education plans.
*Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
*Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
*Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
*A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach.
*A genuine passion for supporting pupils to reach their potential.
