Hastings | Full-Time | Office Based
A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its busy Finance Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal accounts professional to play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of a successful firm, ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and maintaining high standards of accuracy and client service.
Key Responsibilities
*Process client and office account transactions
*Reconcile client, office and petty cash accounts
*Manage CHAPS, BACS and Faster Payments
*Check completion statements and arrange completion payments
*Process incoming receipts and allocate funds accurately
*Handle banking, card payments and client interest calculations
*Process foreign payments where required
*Manage out-of-date cheques and maintain accurate records
*Respond to internal and external finance queries
*Ensure full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
*Support the wider Finance Team with cashiering and administrative duties
About You
*Minimum 2 years’ legal cashiering experience
*Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
*Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Professional and team-oriented approach
*Experience using Partner for Windows is desirable
