Job type: Part time, Temporary
The Successful Communication Support Worker will have the following skills and qualifications
*Level 3+ BSL qualification required
*Ability to modify course materials to suit Deaf learners
*Ability to provide Deaf awareness to staff and peers to improve inclusivity
*Experience working with Deaf or hard-of-hearing learners
Day to Day responsibilities of the role
*Interpret between spoken English and British Sign Language (BSL) or other preferred communication modes
*Liaise with tutors to support inclusive teaching practices and ensure communication needs are met.
*Keep databases and records up to date
*Help learners understand instructions, tasks, and written content in class.
