Full job descriptionAs a Credit Controller in Southampton, you’ll play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring payments are made on time and resolving any outstanding issues. Your efforts will help maintain smooth financial operations and support the Accounting & Finance department.
Client Details
Our client is based in Southampton, and due to a busy period and various ongoing projects the team is looking for additional support.
Description
*Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments.
*Proactively contact clients to arrange payment plans or resolve issues.
*Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate records are kept.
*Prepare and distribute statements of accounts to clients.
*Handle queries related to invoices and payments efficiently.
*Work closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
*Maintain compliance with credit policies and procedures.
*Provide regular reports on outstanding debts and collections progress.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
*Previous experience in credit control or a similar role in Accounting & Finance.
*Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
*Confidence in communicating with clients to resolve payment issues.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Job Offer
*Salary ranging from £30,000 to £33,000, dependent on the level of experience.
*Permanent position in Southampton.
