Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We’re working with a welcoming SEN school in Rochdale that is looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide valuable support to pupils with additional needs.
The Role*Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
*Support children with needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties and learning difficulties
*Help pupils engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence
*Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support
*Assist with classroom activities and adapted learning
*Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
The Ideal Candidate*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
*A calm, patient and nurturing approach
*Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis
*Good understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*A relevant TA/SEN qualification is desirable but not essential
