I’m currently working with a leading multidisciplinary property consultancy that is looking to add a Town Planner to its Bristol team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to take the next step in their career, joining an established consultancy with a varied project portfolio and the opportunity to work alongside experienced planning professionals. The role offers exposure to a broad range of clients and development schemes, while providing plenty of scope for professional and career development.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a range of planning projects, with a key focus on the preparation and submission of planning applications. Responsibilities will include:
*Preparing and submitting planning applications.
*Managing planning applications from initial instruction through to determination.
*Providing planning advice to clients and supporting development proposals.
*Preparing planning appraisals and undertaking policy research.
*Liaising with clients, local authorities, consultants and other stakeholders.
*Attending site visits, meetings and planning committees where required.
*Supporting senior colleagues and contributing to the delivery of a varied project portfolio.
About You
*A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related subject.
*Relevant experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or similar environment.
*Good knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy.
*Experience preparing and submitting planning applications.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
*A proactive and commercially minded approach.
*Ideally working towards or already holding MRTPI status.
