Client Details
We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Finance Manager to join a growing business in North Manchester.
This will be a broad and varied role, you’ll play an important role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and reporting, and ensuring robust financial processes are maintained.
Description
The key responsibilities of a Finance Manager will be:
*Oversee the day-to-day finance function, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and invoicing.

*Manage bank reconciliations, supplier payments, credit control and cash flow.

*Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts, P&L and financial reports.

*Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end processes.

*Manage VAT returns and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.

*Liaise with external accountants, auditors, suppliers.

*Monitor expenditure, budgets and financial performance.

*Manage supplier accounts, contracts and renewals.

*Oversee financial systems and processes, including SAGE.

*Identify and implement process and system improvements.

*Ensure financial procedures and reporting deadlines are consistently met.

*Support with financial analysis, budgeting and business projects.



Profile
A successful Finance Manager will have:
*Previous experience in a similar Finance Manager or senior finance role.
*A recognised finance qualification or 5+ years’ relevant experience.
*Strong knowledge of Management Accounts, AP, AR, reconciliations and credit control.
*Experience with SAGE or a similar accounting system.
*Strong Excel skills and confidence producing financial reports.
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
*Strong organisational and time-management skills.
*Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
*Able to work independently, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
*Professional, reliable and confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
