A leading independent planning consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to join its growing Manchester team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional looking to take the next step in their career, working across a diverse portfolio of development projects and providing strategic planning advice to a range of clients.
Responsibilities
*Managing planning applications from inception through to determination.
*Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation.
*Providing strategic planning advice to clients.
*Liaising with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
*Undertaking planning research and policy assessments.
*Managing client relationships and project programmes.
*Supporting junior members of the team and contributing to their development.
*Assisting with business development and new instructions.
Requirements
*Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
*Relevant professional planning experience.
*Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and policy.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
*Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
*MRTPI qualification or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
