Full job descriptionWe are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Gloucester, supporting pupils with a range of additional learning, communication, behavioural and developmental needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is committed to creating an inclusive, structured and engaging learning environment where pupils can build confidence, independence and achieve their potential.
The role will involve planning and delivering differentiated lessons, adapting the curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual needs and abilities. You may be supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, complex learning needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour, working closely with support staff and other professionals to implement appropriate strategies and individualised learning plans.
The successful candidate will be patient, resilient and adaptable, with strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils. Previous experience teaching within SEN, specialist, PRU or alternative provision settings is highly desirable. You will need to be confident adapting your teaching, managing challenging behaviour and creating a consistent classroom environment that promotes both academic progress and personal development.
